My name is Jen Temple, and I am the newly appointed Chair of Governors at Bosvena School. I have worked in post-16 education in Cornwall for twenty-five years, and since 2017 in a college for 16–19-year-olds in close proximity to Bosvena where I am the Assistant Principal for Student Experience. Additionally, I bring my experience as a parent to a child with SEND needs and an EHCP, now in early adulthood, but having faced the challenges of navigating the school system at a time when specialist provision was very hard to access. I am therefore delighted to be part of this fantastic new school with Josh and the team of staff and governors to bring trauma informed, aspirational education to children in Cornwall as part of the Special Partnership Trust (SPT).

My role involves working closely with Josh and the staff, alongside our team of governors as the Local Governing Body to consider the strategic operation of the school. The governor’s values reflect those of the school; we too are ambitious for the children at Bosvena and ensuring they learn and thrive despite difficult or disrupted past experiences in education is key.

I really look forward to meeting all of the children and parents who will help us to realise the clear vision and mission of Bosvena; bringing support and opportunity to all children within the school community, reflective of each child’s individuality, strengths and needs.
